Travelling to Izmir

Having fixed the last details of the excursion in Turkey, we entered the boat to Cesme early in the morning. An hour later we arrived and got on the bus to Izmir. After a few hours our tutor Gorkem Ozbek took us from the central bus station and he drove us to the university.

There, some members of LG Izmir welcomed us. They were very friendly and hospitable, all with a smile on their face. They escorted us to the room where they presented themselves and after that, Gorkem gave us the instructions, in order to enter ESTIEM as observers. His presentation was complete, illustrative and helped us a lot.

Later, our friends guided us to the meeting room. There, they offered us sweets and juice, we discussed more about Greece and Turkey, especially about our home towns, Chios and Izmir. Outside, we took group pictures and said goodbye to each other.

Finally, early in the afternoon, Gorkem took us to the bus station, from where we left having the port as our destination. Late in the evening, we arrived in Chios, having an unforgettable experience from our trip to Izmir and new friends!.
